Description and installation
YoucanconnectthesystemtelephoneattheinternalS0,Up0orEthernetconnectionofa pabxsystem. The
telephone provides system features when connected to certain elmeg PABX systems. For example:
Dialingfromthepabx telephonedirectory
SendingandreceivingSMS messages
Messagingandintercomcalls withother systemtelephonesconnectedto thepabx.
Function keys for controlling special PABX features (switching call modes, team log-in/off, line
buttons,extensionbuttons).
The status ofthe programmedfeatures canbe displayed by means of LEDsassigned to the specific
functionkeys.
AccessingthePABXsystem menu. Thismenuprovidesfurther pabxfeatures.
The internal connection of the PABX systems automatically interfaces with the system telephone. Please
refer to the operating instructions of your PABX to determine whether these typical system features are
provided with the various system telephones.
CS400 / CS400xt
Thissystemtelephoneisdeliveredwithakeyextensionmodule(T400/2),providingyouwith10additional,
freely configurable keys.
ItisdesignedforconnectiontoaninternalS0port(4-wirecable)ofaPABXsystem. Thesystemtelephoneis
not equipped witha USBor serialport forconfiguration or other uses. This phone must beconfigured via
theinternalISDNportusingtheWinToolsProfessionalConfigurator. Therearealsono»Audiofunctions«
implementedandyou can notuse theAnsweringmachine orUp0 modules or functions. None of thefunc-
tions for this module are shown in the display, nor can they be used.
Thistelephoneisequippedwiththefunction»Emergencyoperation«.»Off«
= Emergency operation off, »On« = Emergency operation On. meaning it
can be operated at NT via the PABX system on a loss of 230 V~ power. If
more than one telephone is connected to the ISDN system, the emergency
operation functionmay onlybe configuredon oneof the ISDNsystem tele
-
phones. All callsare signaledat thisphone. The volumeof the ringing tone
isset tolow. Inaddition tomaking normalcalls, thefollowing functionsare
also available:
Selection of a call number from the telephone directory or the speed dial memory after lifting the
handset.
Displayofcall durationand costs.
Mute.
Terminatecall.
The phonenumber (MSN) that the network service provider assigned to you as the first (master) number
willbetransmittedto external subscribers.Chargebillingiseffectedfor this. Observetheinformationcon
-
cerning emergency operation in the PABX system. Ongoing connections are interrupted in the event of a
power failure.
Refer to theoperating manualof your PABX systemto see if your systemsupports emergency
operation.
